Festival of the Arts BOCA holds fundraising ‘dinner by the bite’ and concert

BOCA RATON—The Festival of the Arts BOCA held an encore “Dinner by the Bite” and fundraising concert featuring Quartetto Gelato May 21 at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center.

The Quartetto is comprised of Peter DeSotto (tenor, violin, mandolin), Alexander Sevastian, (accordion, piano, bandoneon – winner of 4 international accordion competitions), Elizabeth McLellan (cello) and Collin Maier (oboe, clarinet, English horn, violin, 5-string banjo, acoustic/electric bass, piano, saxophone, flute, guitar and harmonica).

“We are so appreciative of all the support we received for this kick-off event for the next Festival, which will be our sixth.  Festival of the Arts Boca 2012 will be March 9th -17th,” said Board Chairman Yvonne Boice.

In addition to entertainment, the 2011 festival had an extensive outreach program that included school visits, open rehearsals and dance lessons, as well as complimentary tickets for organizations such as the Spirit of Giving.  The Festival of the Arts BOCA received the Palm Beach County Cultural Council 2010 Muse Award for Outstanding Festival.
