BOCA RATON – Lynn University will honor Passover and Easter at a Spring Holiday Celebration Monday, April 11. The celebration will include an Easter egg hunt, religious / symbolic foods and a live band
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Perper Plaza on campus, Lynn University’s religious student organizations are hosting the celebration in honor of Passover and Easter.
“The celebration of Passover took place just before the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ,” said Morayma James, coordinator of multicultural affairs at Lynn. “The two holidays have been intertwined since the beginning as the word ‘Pasch,’ originally meaning Passover, came to mean Easter as well.”
Displays at the event will describe how different religions and cultures celebrate Passover and Easter as well as the symbolic meanings of various food and drinks.
