Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service Gala to include Marco Bicego earrings in benefit auction

BOCA RATON — Friends and supporters of the Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service (JFS) were dazzled at a recent luncheon when Neiman Marcus donated a pair of Marco Bicego 18 carat gold hoop earrings for the “Take a Chance …ABBA Again” 2010 Benefit Gala and Auction to be held Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Andrews Country Club in Boca Raton.

The Gala, one of the community’s signature annual fundraising events, will offer a cocktail reception followed by a fun-filled evening that will bring

together 300 prominent guests to enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions and lively entertainment.

Lynn R. Hover, general manager of Neiman Marcus in Boca Raton, hosted the preparatory luncheon and was joined by Judi Donoff, Isabel Friedman and Wendy Legum, co-chairs of the 2010 JFS Gala in inviting patrons to meet precious jewelry designer Marco Bicego and celebrate the hard work that’s already gone into producing the Gala. Designer Bicego welcomed guests to the luncheon and introduced his jewelry at a fashion show with models adorned with his designs. The donated earrings will be part of the Gala’s silent auction at this year’s event.

“Neiman Marcus is a tremendous supporter of JFS and we thank you so gratefully. With the continued support of our patrons we will be able to step up to help our neighbors in ever more significant ways, said Donoff, event co-chair with Legum and Friedman.

“There is so much to be done,” said Danielle Hartman, JFS President and CEO. “We’ll work hard to make sure our efforts are felt in the community and, at the same time, celebrate our organization’s participation in coming to the aid of so many.”

Diane and Larry Feldman will be honored at the Gala as recipients of the Ruth and Norman Rales Humanitarian of the Year Award. The Gala’s underwriters include: Arthur Benjamin Foundation, Greenspoon Marder, PA, Proskauer, Gateway Insurance, and A Plus Home Health Care. Gala Sponsors include: Meryl and Ron Gallatin; CJ Viner Foundation; Shirley and Barton Weisman; Isabel and Arnold Friedman; Michele & Larry Blair, Karen & Steve Irwin, Julie & David Kirschner, Ellen R.
