Procrastination ages you before your time. Its cure: Prevention

One of the worst “diseases” in the world isn’t a disease at all.
Procrastination can very well speed up the aging process. Put things off long enough, and then wonder how you got older-looking so fast. Procrastination is the enemy of good health, good looks and good life. (Yes, I’ve got a few issues myself!)
The best and the most exciting anti-aging action is PREVENTION. I learned this as a child from my Father…he preached prevention, mainly with regard to nutrition and diet…and I listened!
The act of p-r-e-v-e-n-t-i-o-n applies to all health and beauty subjects—head to toe—if we are to stay youthful for a longer life. Start early enough – with the proper information – and you can prevent many health and beauty problems from ever occurring in the first place. Like the engine of your car…don’t take care of it…don’t have check ups, and your car will shut down on you. Same with your body…it will not keep running on it’s own without help from its owner.
For example, think about this ….As the years pass by, our faces change shape… slowly, unnoticeably at first, but then at a faster pace the older we become. How much control do we have over this? I say lots! Much more than you think, if you don’t procrastinate!
As we age over time, our bodies lose calcium, which means our bones slowly shrink, and become thinner and more brittle. We can lose inches in height…we all know that, right?
But most people do not realize that the bones in the scull shrink, too, and therefore the facial structure changes, …the scull becomes smaller and, if too much weight is gained, it can lead to an older appearance sooner than expected, sooner than necessary. Keep your bones strong, by making sure you’re getting the proper calcium and nutrition. Don’t procrastinate over getting regular bone density tests.
More procrastination check points:
* Procrastination in losing weight. This can lead to many serious diseases, such as diabetes, heart problems, aggravated arthritis, to name a few. In addition, you’ll spend more time at the doctor and run up unnecessary medical bills.
* Procrastination in caring for skin. Billions of dollars are spent on treating skin cancer, and other skin disorders, many of which are preventable if people would only not procrastinate over taking proper precautions, especially pertaining to sun protection.
* Procrastination over getting regular checkups. Checkups are the most important preventative measure you can take to maintain a long, healthy life. Early detection of potential or developing disease has saved many a life and life style. Get your checkups…and listen to your doctor.
* Procrastination over exercising. You could lecture me here! Exercise can reduce stress and anxiety and in general help you stay healthy, active and in shape. Walking is good – it gets your cardiovascular system going. Any kind of exercise will be beneficial. Even if you only exercise for 15-20 minutes each day, even 3 times a week helps.
I urge you, be a preventer, not a procrastinator.
