Boca police seek pair in pharmacy heist

BOCA RATON – Boca police are searching for the two suspects who robbed the Boca Town Pharmacy at 7400 N. Federal Highway Oct. 15.

Authorities received a silent alarm about 1:55 p.m., said police.  When en route, dispatch received information that the alarm had been tripped by employees while they were being robbed.

When officers and detectives arrived, they questioned two employees. One said a man wearing all black clothing entered the store, pointed a large black, semi-automatic handgun at the victim’s face and demanded money and prescription medication.

As the victim and the suspect walked to the rear of the pharmacy where the second employee was working and the medication is kept, a second suspect entered the front of the store and remained there.

Police said the suspect forced the victim to open the safe that contained prescription narcotics, and then he removed the contents and put them into a nearby garbage can. The suspect told the employee to open the second safe which contained money. The victim said her hands were shaking so badly she was unable to open the safe. The suspect took the money that was in the register and then both suspects left the store in a car.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Detective Scott Hanley at (561) 338-1344 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at (800) 458-TIPS.
