Quarantine lifted in Palm Beach County animal shelter

WEST PALM BEACH — Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control recently had a serious case of panleukopenia disease in cats and kittens at its shelter.  The quarantine has been lifted, and cats and kittens are now available once again for adoption to the public.

The hours of operation are Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The shelter is offering a special promotional adoption fee of $20 for each cat or kitten.  The adoption fee includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, license tag, and other vaccines.
