Burglary victims to get a chance Saturday to recover their property, says sheriff

WEST PALM BEACH — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, District 6 Street Crimes Unit, conducted a long term investigation into numerous vehicle burglaries that occurred throughout Palm Beach County over the course of several months.

The investigation resulted in the identification of a fencing operation located at 2307 NW 27th Ave in the Sand and Sea community.

On July 28, investigators executed a search warrant at this residence and it resulted in the recovery of approximately 80 pieces of electronics from numerous vehicle burglaries. Among the items recovered during the search warrant were GPS’s, cell phones, radar detectors and IPods.

Victims have been identified from Boca Raton to Wellington.

PBSO will be holding a public viewing for the remainder of the unclaimed property Saturday, Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the PBSO Property Evidence Unit at 3228 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach

Members of the public who were victims of a vehicle burglary between May 1 and July 28, 2010 are welcome to attend.

Victims must bring a copy of their police report and state identification card with them to the viewing in order to be admitted.
