Boca Raton’s ‘City with a Heart’ Volunteer Showcase

The City of Boca Raton’s Community Relations Board celebrated the spirit of volunteerism at its City with a Heart event Wednesday September 15 at the Spanish River Library.

The event highlighted volunteer opportunities at non-profit organizations located in Boca Raton. Deborah A. Carman, Chairperson of the Community Relations Board for the City of Boca Raton, thanked everyone for participating and explained the important role of volunteering in our community.

Guest speakers included Emily Lilly, City of Boca Raton Community Resources & Affairs and Catherine Vanden Broeck, City of Boca Raton Volunteer Coordinator. They discussed the important role organizations have filled in the community of Boca Raton.

Non-profits set up exhibits at the event to show participants the community service opportunities that are available as well as the missions of the different organizations.
