Boca Raton authors donate books to Tri County for fund-raising

BOCA RATON – The authors of a book recently featured in a Boca Raton Tribune article have donated a number of copies to the Tri County Humane Society shelter as a fund-raiser for the nonprofit group.

Dr. Wan Yu Chao, her husband, Ron Kerble, and daughter Christine Liao, were at the shelter recently to sign the humor book, “I Had a Pet Frog.” The family donated books to the shelter with the provision that all proceeds be used to care for animals.  Tri-County Founder and CEO Jeannette Christos thanked them for

their donation, which included copies of the book along with a coloring book that accompanies it.

Kerble and his wife, Boca Raton residents, wrote the humorous text for the book and their daughter created the illustrations. I Had a Pet Frog contains 100 jokes using 70 different animals and features 55 illustrations. Chao and Kerble’s book was released in trade paper and is also available as an e-Book from the publisher.
