TransMedia Group Opens Office in Sao Paulo Adding to Its Global PR Expansion

he Public Relations firm TransMedia Group (www.transmediagroup.com) is opening its first office in Sao Paulo, Brazil as the firm’s international business continues to expand.

TransMedia also has entered into a strategic partnership with Atitude Press, a leading communications firm in Brazil. The firms have agreed to refer business to one another and serve the publicity needs of their respective clients in each other’s home country.

Earlier this year, TransMedia opened offices in Paris and Beijing, and has now sets its sights on South America’s powerhouse.

“Brazil has become an economic superpower and TransMedia can play a role in promoting more trade and commerce between Brazil and the U.S.,” said Tom Madden, TransMedia Group’s CEO.

“Florida Governor Rick Scott’s recent trade mission to Brazil highlighted the importance of Brazil’s thriving economy to our state and already the trip is showing promising business results,” Madden said.

Madden and Louise Canuto, TransMedia Group’s Brazilian-born Director of Public Relations, sit on the Board of the Brazil Club of Boca Raton, a group of business owners promoting partnerships between Boca Raton and Sao Paulo.

TransMedia has represented such Brazilian agencies as Associacao Brasileira de Franchising (Brazilian Franchising Association), which promotes expansion of Brazilian franchising to the U.S. Market. The firm also served the largest private postal network in Latin America, SkyShop Logistics, for whom it promoted a partnership between PuntoMio, an online shopping portal, and Brandsmart USA in Brazil.

Canuto will serve as liaison between TransMedia’s U.S. headquarters and Brazil office. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and is obtaining her master’s from Lynn University.

According to Canuto, “TransMedia’s business both in Brazil and within the local Brazilian business community is growing, which makes opening an office in Brazil strategically important.” Whatever the multi-lingual firm publicizes in English, it mirrors its PR campaigns in Portuguese and Spanish and other languages.

“As Brazil is in the forefront of our hemisphere’s economic growth, it is only natural that TransMedia sharpens its focus on this powerhouse and becomes more active in the rising Brazilian community here and abroad,” said Canuto.

TransMedia Group is a full-service, multi-lingual public relations and marketing firm serving clients worldwide since 1981.
