JARC Hosts Successful 2nd Annual Bowling Fundraiser at Strikes@Boca

LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE! – JARC (Jewish Association for Residential Care) hosted their 2nd annual bowling fundraiser on Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Event proceeds from this event totaled nearly $15,000 and will go directly for the purchase of AED’s for both Rales Campus and the Training/Resource Center. These AED’s could potentially be life saving for adults with disabilities.
This year’s event sponsor was Muriel Siebert & Co., INC. and the event t-shirt sponsor was Universal Nutrition. Other major event sponsors were; The Gardner Family, Geffen Asset Management at vFinance Investments, Eppy Financial Group, The Ostroff Group, Sax Sachs Caplan and Park Shore Pharmacy.
180 bowlers were in attendance along with just as many spectators totaling nearly 250 supporters at the alley. Guests enjoyed pizza, soda, two hours of bowling and tons of fun on the lanes to benefit JARC.
The JARC Advocacy Committee made up of JARC clients originally came up with the idea for a bowling fundraising event last year. Because of its success, this event will be repeated each and every year as the clients and supporters of JARC look so forward to hitting the lanes for the cause. The JARC Advocacy Committee acts as the voice of the JARC clients and assists in fulfilling the mission for all clients in the various programs.
