Boca Raton, FL - On Thursday, October 17, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is releasing a 350 lb. adult female green sea turtle named Yamato.  Yamato was found on the beach in Boca Raton on July 7.  She suffered from partial paralysis due to an injury received from a boat strike.  She was full of eggs, and our sea turtle rehabilitation team, led by Whitney Crowder, Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Coordinator, administered oxytocin and elevated the front of her body to assist…
