BOCA RATON – Civil Air Patrol Cadets, Boy Scouts, law enforcement officers and citizens paid tribute to veterans at the Memorial Day ceremony held at Veterans Memorial Park in West Boca Raton .
Cadets proudly carried the Colors along side veterans from all branches of the military.
Addressing a crowd of several hundred, Cadet Senior Master Sergeant Alex Falcone spoke of the freedoms we all enjoy because of the service and sacrifice of the American veteran. “They dedicated their lives and gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we could live in peace, so our children could live in peace and so our grandchildren could live in peace. They defended a nation that is not free of imperfections but for one that stands for something more than themselves.” Falcone said.
The Boca Raton Composite Squadron’s regular meetings are held Tuesday evenings 6:30 to 9 at the Civil Air Patrol building at Boca Raton Airport .
