Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic kicks off in Boca Raton

Boca Raton, FL – The 21st Annual Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis classic kicked off today in Boca Raton. The competition begins tomorrow at the Delray Beach Tennis Center and runs until the 7th, Chris Evert was at the Boca Raton Resort today to talk to the media and welcome her long list of celebrities that are participating in this year’s event. The list includes: Tennis legends Martina Navratilo, Sebastien Grosjean, Anna Kournikova, actors Jeffrey Donovan from the hit-show Burn Notice, Alan Thicke from the show Growing Pains, comedian Jon Lovitz from Saturday Night Live, musicians Gavin Rossdale, David Cook, among many others.

“There is no one that treats you better than Chris [Evert] and her staff. I love coming back here because this is a great event, and it’s a great cause.” Actor Jeffrey Donovan told The Boca Raton Tribune.

“Everything is done here in South Florida. That’s where I was born and raised and grew up and so I feel very loyal to South Florida,” said Chris Evert.

Now in its 21st year, the charity tournament has raised over $18 million dollars to help abused and neglected kids as well as helping drug-addicted moms get their life back. As Chris Evert puts it, “It’s helping to get people a second chance” said Evert

Matches will be held at the Delray Beach Tennis center on West Atlantic Avenue. If you missed out and didn’t purchase tickets at Boca Raton Daily Deal, you can still buy tickets at the door of the event. The cost is $20 for adults, and kids under 10 are free.
