Palm Beach County School Vaping Numbers Double from Last Year

As of recently, a great deal of evidence has been brought about linking vaping to many lung-related illness’ and the number of teens vaping only continues to grow.

The Centers for Disease Control have warned the public on the dangers of vaping with evidence of more than 42 cases of death across the country.

According to Contact 5, 2017-18 saw 1,400 cases and 2018-19 saw 1,500 cases of smoking incidents.

Early on into this school year, there is already 1,200 cases with only 79 days into the school year. With these numbers continuously growing, it is easy to estimate numbers will more than double this coming year.

In elementary schools, vaping makes up 100 percent of all smoking incidents.

Vaping has now become an epidemic and the State Attorney’s office is partnering with the school district to do everything they can to remedy this.
