Man Thrown Overboard in Boynton Beach Inlet From Large Waves

A video has surfaced showing a man being tossed off a boat in Boynton Beach Inlet after wave impact.

Due to a recent South Florida cold front, high winds and chilly temperatures brought rough waters over the weekend.

The conditions were so rough that the Lake Worth Beach Pier was closed on Sunday as a result of very strong surf.

The video which has recently surfaced, was taken by Luis Carlos Reyes, a paramedic for Palm Beach County Ocean Rescue.

The video demonstrates a large wave coming in contact with a Starfish Scuba dive boar when it was nearly flipped over. The intense force of the wave caused the boat’s captain to be tossed into the rough waters.

WPTV paints the picture of how rough the waters were when stating, Palm Beach Ocean Rescue took 30 minutes to successfully bring the boater to safety.

The boater was brought safely back to shore, suffering a shoulder injury and the dive boat also returned back to the dock.

A high surf advisory is currently still in effect till around 3 a.m. on Tuesday with warnings of rip currents, rough surfing conditions, and beach erosion.
