Virgin Trains Could be Opening a Port of Miami Station for Cruise Passengers by 2020

We have heard a great deal of plans from Virgin Trains as the New Year approaches, from a Boca Raton Station to an Orlando/Disney station.

Virgin Trains has now announced their plan to build a station at Port Miami by 2020 and they have recently received approval.

Brightline, soon to be Virgin Trains, hopes to be a unique form of transportation connecting riders to the cruise capital of the world.

According to WPTV, Port Miami is home to more than 5.5 million travelers and cruisers, putting it at one of the most popular cruise capitals.

Port Miami houses 22 cruise lines and will soon be expanding their terminals to better accommodate traffic.

With this news, residents could possibly see a new transportation option from Orlando International Airport to the port of Miami.
