Infant Found at Scene of Apparent Murder-Suicide in Delray Beach

At 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday morning, officers discovered two bodies inside a Delray Beach apartment.

SWAT team members responded to the scene of apartments in the 600 lock of Auburn Avenue in the Village at Delray apartments a little after 10 a.m.

The scene is said to be investigated as a potential murder-suicide as both victims were identified as boyfriend and girlfriend with gunshot wounds.

According to Sun Sentinel, the man had previously called dispatch to say he shot his girlfriend and was also suicidal.

Upon entering the scene, officials found an unharmed infant in the home. The Department of Children and Families will now be determining who will take custody of the baby and the 3-year-old child that was at daycare during the time of the crime.

The identities of the deceased have yet to be announced as this is a developing story.
