Record-breaking Year of Philanthropy for FAU’s Schmidt College of Medicine
|
In 2019, FAU’s Schmidt College of Medicine achieved its most successful fundraising year since becoming a fully independent medical school, having raised nearly $8 million to support vital education, research, scholarship and community outreach programs.
Now more than ever, philanthropy is playing an increasingly important role for FAU’s burgeoning medical school. Private, corporate and foundation gifts enable the college to conduct and deliver life-changing research and attract the best and brightest people to study and work at FAU. From large gifts, which fund major projects, to small, yet impactful gifts, faculty, staff and students at the Schmidt College of Medicine owe an immense debt of gratitude to all of its benefactors – past and present.
Today, the medical school is not only celebrating this year’s important fundraising milestone, but also the impact that these gifts will have on the community for years to come.
