Lynn University’s Conservatory of Music Offers Seven Classical Music Presentations in October

Boca Raton, FL —Jon Robertson, dean of Lynn University Conservatory of Music and Philharmonia guest conductor, today invited fans of classical music to seven presentations in October.

“This year, Lynn celebrates 20 years of musical success with the Conservatory of Music and commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center,” said Robertson. “Please join us for a magnificent season of concerts, showcases, chamber music, recitals and a special musical treat or two.”

2019 Lynn Concerto Competition Final Round

Finalists perform before three guest judges in morning and afternoon sessions. Winners perform as soloists with the Lynn Philharmonia Nov. 9–10 with Maestro Guillermo Figueroa conducting.

Baruch Meir Piano Master Class

Pianist Meir has performed extensively in Austria, England, France, Israel, Portugal and throughout the United States. He serves on the faculty of Arizona State University and is president of the Bosendorfer and Yamaha USASU International Piano Competition. A native of Israel, Meir is a summa cum laude graduate of the Rubin Academy of Music of Tel Aviv University, where he earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance.

Liszt & His Circle

Lynn joins the South Florida chapter of the American Liszt Society for a special concert  honoring Franz Liszt and his contemporaries. The concert features music by Clara Schumann and Charles-Valentin Alkan. Performers include guest pianists from Florida International University Jose Lopez and Kemal Gekic, and Lynn piano department head Roberta Rust.
