Boca Raton Protestors Fight Against Immigration Detention Centers

Protestors have gathered outside the headquarters of the GEO Group today to show their discontent towards the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

WPTV states, the Geo Group’s headquarters are currently being blocked off by the Boca Raton police, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol to ensure no protestors enter the facility.

The protestors are attempting to fight against the detention center’s cruel methods in separating immigrant families.

South Florida advocates are fighting to gain President Trump’s attention so that immigrant children held in the “prison-like” detention center in Homestead may be released.

Protestors were seen rallying outside the offices of U.S. congress members and senators just last month. They called for the closure of camps holding migrants in inhumane conditions.
