Ruth’s Chris Steak House Partners With Duckhorn Vineyards For Exceptional Five-Course Dinner

Duckhorn Wine Lineup

Premier Napa Valley wine collection headlines fourth TasteMaker dinner of 2019

Boca Raton, FL – This summer, Ruth’s Chris Steak House is teaming up with iconic American winery, Duckhorn Vineyards, for its fourth TasteMaker dinner experience. The dinner series allows guests nationwide to experience artfully selected, world-class wines paired with an exquisite five-course meal created by Ruth’s Chris’ executive chefs.

Founded in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards spent the past 40 years establishing itself as one of North America’s premier producers of Napa Valley wines, which makes it the perfect pairing for the famed Ruth’s Chris Steak House – who will celebrate its 54th anniversary this May. Ruth’s Chris’ founder, Ruth Fertel set the leading standard for the American steak house, and during this TasteMaker dinner, guests can experience fine dining with a premier collection of Duckhorn wines. Duckhorn is known for putting Napa Valley Merlot on the map and redefining Merlot and Bordeaux-style wines in the U.S. This TasteMaker dinner brings the world of wine and steak house dining experiences together.

“Our team at Ruth’s Chris was inspired by the French style Duckhorn Vineyards uses to create their wine, which lead our chefs to create a menu packed with flavors that mimic French cuisine,” said Abdiel Aleman, Vice President of Culinary Development for Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

French inspiration can be found throughout the dinner, like the third course’s French style taboule, including a mint puree with the Cajun Crusted Prime Strip Carpaccio. Ruth’s Chris New Orleans roots shine through in the Cajun crust made with spices to give the right amount of heat, which is paired with the famed 2015 Duckhorn Merlot.

The five-course dinner will also feature chef curated dishes such as Smoked Duck and Melon Salad topped with Bleu Cheese, Smoked Red Pepper Coulis with Fried Oysters, Petite Filet Mignon with Walnut Roquefort Butter, Caramelized Onion and Fig Galette, and Chocolate Ganache with Pistachio White Chocolate Cream for dessert.

This May, Ruth’s Chris will celebrate 54 years since Ruth Fertel – mother of two – opened the doors of what is now a global fine dining leader. Ruth took a leap of faith and mortgaged her home to buy Chris Steak House in New Orleans. Shortly after opening, the restaurant caught fire leaving Ruth to relocate and rename the restaurant. Since then, more than five decades have passed and Ruth’s Chris Steak House has grown into a beloved, fine dining experience packed with rich history and can be found in more than 150 locations worldwide.
