City of Boynton Beach Memorial Day Events

Boca Raton, FL – The City of Boynton Beach and the Boynton Beach Veterans will be hosting their annual Memorial Day Observance at Boynton Beach Memorial Park on Sunday, May 26 beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Those wishing to assist with the placement of U.S. Flags on the graves of our valued veterans may join other volunteers on Friday, May 24 at 8:30 a.m.  Both events will be held at the Boynton Beach Memorial Park, at 1611 South Seacrest Boulevard (corner of Woolbright Road and South Seacrest Boulevard).

We encourage residents to join Boynton Beach’s St. Joseph’s Episcopal School students and Home Depot in placing flags at the gravestones of those who have fallen while protecting the freedom that we honor.

A solemn ceremony, led by Mayor Steven B. Grant, will pay tribute to those men and women of the United States Armed Forces who define heroism and paid the ultimate price.

As in the past, the Boynton Beach Memorial Day Observation will be organized by the Boynton Beach Veterans, with Post Commanders from the following organizations reciting the names of departed veterans: Disabled American Veterans 152, Jewish War Veteran Post 440, Korean War Veterans Chapter 17, Veterans of Foreign Ward Posts 5335, and Sons of American Legion Post 164.
