Honor Mom With A Gift That Gives Back This Mother’s Day
Sweet Dream Makers provides beds to children and families in need; donations through May 10 include a gift message to honor mothers
Boca Raton, FL – Local charity Sweet Dream Makers is offering gift-givers a way to honor their mothers with more than a memento this Mother’s Day. The nonprofit organization provides children and families in need with new beds and bedding, free of charge. Donations made to support their work between now and May 10 can be dedicated to mothers, and Sweet Dream Makers will send a special, personalized note to the honoree by Mother’s Day. “Every mother knows how special it is to tuck their children in each night,” says Suzanne Broad, Founder and Executive Director of Sweet Dream Makers – and a mother herself. “We help families who have been sleeping on floors, couches, or otherwise unsanitary or inappropriate conditions be able to tuck their little ones in again. It means so much to every family we help.”
Broad founded the organization in 2012 as a quiet giving project of Temple Beth El, then launched her own nonprofit in 2016 when it became clear that there was so much more need in the community. Since that time, Sweet Dream Makers has provided more than 3,000 beds to babies, toddlers, children, teenagers, and their adult caregivers in Palm Beach County, and will soon begin serving families in Broward County as well.
“[Receiving new beds] put a smile on my and my kids’ faces that we haven’t had in a long time,” said Samone, a local mother who recently received a queen bed for herself and twin beds for her two children. “You really brought joy into our home. The beds mean everything and are very nice. Thank you in so many ways.”

Sweet Dream Makers will write a special email or card detailing what your donation has purchased, and include your message to the recipient. Donations must be made by midnight on May 10 to guarantee delivery by Mother’s Day.
