City of Boca Raton – Office of Economic Development

Boca. Business. Brief.

We recently partnered with the Boca Raton Tribune and can’t wait to share the local corporate news taking place in our beautiful city.

Last week, as part of our “Success Tour” we stopped by SA Company.  SA Co. is an e- commerce company on Holland Drive.  SA Co. manufactures and distributes outdoor apparel including bandana face shields, board shorts, straw hats and arm sleeves.  Their CEO, Thomas DeSernia recently earned a spot-on Forbes 30 under 30 list. With 100 employees and distribution to over 220 countries, SA Co. is a vibrant and rapidly growing brand.

Boca based ADT recently closed the acquisition of Boca based Red Hawk Fire and Security for $317 million in cash. ADT continues to acquire companies throughout the US; the most recent being the purchase of Pennsylvania based Lifeshield for $25 million.

This month, two Boca Raton office buildings sold for $68.35 million. The 382,595 sq. ft. buildings are located at 5201 Congress Avenue and 901 Yamato Road (North 40).  Situated on a 27.1-acre site, the sale equated to $194 per sq. ft.

With the acquisition of 600 wireless communications sites in Bolivia, Phoenix Tower International continues its rapid expansion into S. America.

Our team works diligently to share any and all corporate news taking place in the City of Boca Raton.  If you have corporate news to share, please reach out to us at EconomicDevelopment@MyBoca.us.  We would love to hear it, and share it.
