ChildNet Care for Kids Holds Luncheon Kick Off at Sklar Furniture

On February 27, 2019, ChildNet held a VIP Reception at Sklar Funishings in Boca Raton.

More than 100 people attended the event. Guests were treated to live music, wine and hors d’ourves. Rick Howard, President of Sklar Funishings welcomed the crowd, followed by Pamela Weinroth, luncheon chairwoman. She thanked Laurie Silvers for accepting ChildNet’s 2019 Champion for Children award, honoring her work with Women of Tomorrow. The award will be formally presented at the luncheon on April 9^th. Larry Rein, President of ChildNet, spoke about ChildNet’s mission, “to protect abused, abandoned and neglected children in the communities we serve” in addition to the need for more foster parents. Linda Gunn Payton, of Sklar Furnishings made concluding remarks including an exciting donation. Sklar Furnishings will be donating 10% of every sale made in the month of March to ChildNet.
