Boca Raton Public Library Launches One Book Boca 2019—A Community Reading Experience With Author Talk And Book Signing By Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni Saturday, April 13, 2019, 4:00–6:00 pm
Boca Raton, FL – Bestselling author Chitra Banjeree Divakaruni will be at the Boca Raton Public Library on Saturday, April 13, at 4:00pm for an author talk and book signing of her internationally acclaimed book, One Amazing Thing.Divakaruni’s book was chosen as this year’s One Book Boca community reading experience. In One Amazing Thing, when an earthquake traps them together, nine disparate people decide to share “one amazing thing” from their lives—a personal tale they’ve never told anyone before. This author talk was made possible by the Friends of the Boca Raton Public Library in celebration of National Libraries Week. Books will be available for purchase and signing after the talk. Dr. Manjunath Pendakur, Professor Emeritus at Florida Atlantic University and member of the Library Board, will host a follow-up book discussion at the Downtown Library on April 18, 7:00–8:00pm. In addition, a discussion guide for groups and book clubs interested in hosting their own programs will be available at Downtown and Spanish River Library and online at bocalibrary.org.
BRPL offers print, eBook and audiobook versions of One Amazing Thing for check-out by library cardholders. A display of Divakaruni’s books for children will be on display and available for check-out in the Youth Services section of each library.
