Volunteers From The World Mission Society Church Of God Visit Artis Senior Living In Boca Raton To Share Love With Residents

Boca Raton, FL – On Sunday, February 17, 2019, about 10 volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God partnered with Artis Senior Living to share love and laughter with its local senior residents. The volunteers worked together and prepared a fun program of activities to engage with the residents. To entertain the residents, volunteers sang songs, performed dances, and playing games like bingo, dominoes and various board games. The volunteers also prepared painting activities for the residents, and brought them hand-made cards. This event is part of the Church of God’s Smile Campaign, which serves to bring happiness and hope to our neighbors by sharing the love of God the Mother.

Artis Senior Living provides professional assisted living to the elderly, specializing in the senior care of people with Alzheimer’s syndrome and other forms of dementia. Since Artis Senior Living doesn’t receive consolatory visits too often, the volunteers thought it would be a great opportunity to spend time with the residents and warm their hearts. The senior residents were overwhelmed with happiness and filled with gratitude for the volunteers taking the time out of their day to visit them.

The Smile Campaign is part of the Church of God’s long-term mission to share the love of a mother with all mankind. Just as a mother would do anything and sacrifice anything for her children, the Church of God volunteers devote their time to volunteer in their communities in order to serve their neighbors in need and practice the love of Heavenly Mother. After receiving the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service from Queen Elizabeth II in 2016, all members of the Church of God across the world recommitted themselves to spreading the awareness of the importance of volunteerism.
