HOME (Homeless Outreach Mentoring and Education) is proud to announce a very special fundraising and awareness building event, Everyone Has A Story, taking place at the Wick Theatre on Tuesday October 23, 2018 at 6PM.

The evening will feature inspiring performances by local musical theatre stars, light bites and uplifting messages about HOME’s programs, which empower disenfranchised individuals and families in Boca Raton to regain their self-confidence and become self-sufficient members of society.

“While Boca Raton has an affluent image, the reality is that our city has a growing number of homeless individuals and families who are in need of outreach,” said Neil Koppel, President of the HOME Board and CEO of Renaissance Diamonds.

“The homeless sector here has not yet reached the crisis level, compared to other local cities, however, it is clearly increasing. HOME was founded by a community of concerned and caring citizens, who are taking a proactive approach, providing weekly outreach services and resources.”

Over the past year, HOME has conducted official intakes on 100’s homeless adults and has provided services including hot meals, showers & toiletries, clothing, health referrals, social service application assistance, job-readiness, employment placement and housing assistance.

“Everyone Has A Story will be a very important event for our community to attend,” continued Koppel. “Throughout this original theater program, we will demonstrate how proper support can help transform the lives of people who have fallen on hard times. Our inspiring success stories remind us how easily misfortune can enter our lives, but with support and compassion each person can regain their sense of worth and begin anew.”

The Wick Theatre’s original stage creation, “Everyone Has A Story”, depicts the homeless plight, their challenges and ultimately, their hopes and dreams.

HOME is inviting sponsors to help support their grassroots campaign and see what real differences HOME is making in the community and is already promised matching funds for the first $50,000 raised.
