Oxford brings the two most significant EB-5 authorities in events at São Paulo and Manaus

Oxford helps bring significant EB-5 events to São Paulo

Noteworthy EB-5 visa explanatory events recently conducted by The Oxford Group in São Paolo have deemed a success unlike anything seen before in Brazil.

Held under the auspices of Oxford, and sponsored by the São Paolo Chamber of Commerce at its headquarters, the lectures were blessed with the presence of two distinguished guests, Aaron Schock, and Kevin Wright. “Because they were present to speak, we were able to bring important and detailed information on EB-5 visas to those who attended,” said Carlo Barbieri, President of Oxford Group, the largest Brazilian consulting firm in the United States.

Aaron Schock is considered the congressman with more knowledge and greater participation than anyone else in EB-5 projects. He has interacted on the same level with former United States President Barack Obama and current President Donald Trump.

In the U.S. Congress, where the EB-5 visa originated and has been the subject of considerable debate, Schock was always the active voice for the continuation of legislation that gives foreign investors the opportunity to obtain an EB-5 visa.

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) administers the EB-5 program, created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. Under a program initially enacted as a pilot effort in 1992, and regularly reauthorized since then, investors may also qualify for EB-5 classification by taking part in the program through regional centers designated by USCIS based on proposals for promoting economic growth.

On March 23, 2018, President Trump signed Public Law 115-141 extending the Regional Center Program through Sept. 30, 2018.

In addition to Schock, Kevin Wright, globally recognized as the largest EB-5 expert in the U.S., with participation in more than 800 EB-5 projects and involvement in the inauguration of around 200 regional centers, also addressed the gathering held Sept. 18 in São Paolo, and which honed in on EB-5 specialists and the best and safest projects to invest in.

In addition to drawing a full audience, the presentation was broadcast to more than 400 commercial associations of the State of São Paulo, giving thousands of people the opportunity to partake in the event.

Presentation in Manaus

In Manaus, PanAmazonica was the organization that hosted the event at the Federation of Industries of the State of Amazonas, where more than 250 businessmen and others interested in investments in the USA filled the entity’s amphitheater. The presentation was sold out.

This conference depended on the coverage of the two main television networks of Brazil, many radio stations and the two main newspapers, the Record and the Globe.
