Andy Thomson Wins Boca Raton Seat A Election

Three days after polls closed, the Boca Raton City Council Seat A election finally has a winner.

After Friday’s machine and hand recount, Andy Thomson has been declared the winner of the race. According to the Palm Beach Post’s Lulu Ramadan, Thomson led Cottrell by 33 votes after an automatic recount, in which the elections supervisor ran every Boca Raton ballot through voting machines.

“I am hopeful that our local government leaders will give of their best in representing the citizens of the City of Boca Raton,” said Kathy Cottrell, via a statement on her facebook page. “They will work diligently, honestly, fervently to ensure their constituents’ voice, hopes and concerns are attended to.”
