Boca Raton Florida’s Temple Beth El Welcomes Ehud Barak

By Robert S Weinroth

Thanks seem inadequate when it comes to Marilyn & Jay Weinberg, always there to support an important cause or event.

Tonite was no exception as they underwrote a fund raising event at Temple Beth El of Boca Raton.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak spoke on a number of issues impacting Israel and its relationship with the United States.

Wonderful to hear reflections on this 70th Anniversary of the State of Israel as Barak reminisced about his service to the Jewish State, in uniform and as a politician, offering insights into his negotiations with former PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat.

Barak spoke about his new book, My Country, My Life, Fighting for Israel, Searching for Peace, the definitive memoir of one of Israel’s most influential soldier-statesmen and a one-time Prime Minister, with insights into forging peace in the Middle East.

Proceeds from the evening will help support the work of Peace of Mind, a program to help combat soldiers make the difficult transition back to civilian life.
