Sportel Decision Makers Summit

This past week in Miami Beach leaders from all over the world of sport gathered for the first ever Sportel Decision Makers Summit. Sportel hosts conferences and events for industry professionals across the world, and launched this special event, the Sportel Decision Makers Summit this year.

The two day event featured speakers from all over the world and panels on important issues in sport including the evolution of media rights, the transition from over-the-air broadcasting to streaming, the emerging Chinese market, the health of soccer in the United States and why do European football clubs tour the US regularly.

Top executives representing broadcast networks, agencies, digital platforms, leading federations and renowned celebrities, shared personal insights into the future of the sports marketing and media industry with the over 150 delegates who came to the event from around the globe.

A key to the event was the confidential setting of the panels and meetings, allowing leaders in the industry to speak freely with the delegates. Media attended as well from across the globe, some serving as facilitators for the panels and others had arranged interviews with delegates. However, the meetings and panels themselves remained confidential, an achievement in today’s world.
