Al Zucaro to Run for Mayor of Boca Raton in Special Election

One more name has been added to the ever-growing list of mayoral candidates for the City of Boca Raton.

Al Zucaro has once again thrown his hat in the race for Mayor of Boca Raton.

According to his release, Zucaro will file his paperwork by the end of business this week.

Zucaro, who is the publisher of BocaWatch, was also a candidate for the Mayoral race back in 2017 when he lost to now suspended Mayor Susan Haynie by only 1,112.

“I am running for Mayor of Boca Raton to complete the transformation voters began in 2017 to elect a resident friendly council majority that will put the quality of life interests of our citizens first, above the financial interests of developers,” stated Zucaro in his press release.

Previously, Zucaro served for eight years on the West Palm Beach City Commission, including one year as Commission President. Zucaro also previously served on the Board of the Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council and the Convention and Visitors Bureau and is a former member of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County.

The special election for Mayor, which will take place on August 28, already has four other names as Scott Singer, Bernard Korn, Glenn Gromann, and Paul Preste all have already filed their paperwork.
