Bacchus Beckons!  Boca Bacchanal – Saturday, April 7, 2018

A Food & Wine Feast to Please the Gods

Well, Spring has officially sprung. And to local foodies and wine lovers, that means one thing – the Boca Bacchanal is here!  Now celebrating its 16th anniversary, Boca Bacchanal is has become one of the area’s finest food & wine events —  especially the wine (Bacchanal is, after all, a tribute to Bacchus, the God of Wine!). And this year’s “Sweet 16” celebration promises to be bigger & better than ever, with more food, more wine, and more fun.  The two-day long celebration takes place April 6 & 7, is the signature fundraiser for the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum.

Let the revelry begin!   The weekend kicks off with the Friday Vintner Dinners, where world class chefs and vintners team up to prepare a magnificent private dinners at individual venues.  Guests also get the unique opportunity to meet their chef and vintner at the intimae gathering, and learn more about the wine and food pairings of the evening.  This year also features the first ever Double Chef & Vintner dinner.

But Saturday, March 25 brings the BIG event, with the spectacular Bacchanalia Grand Tasting, the largest and longest-running culinary celebration in Boca. It takes place from 7:00 – 11:00 pm at the Mizner Park Amphitheatre.  The Bacchanalia is a “Must Do,” amazing opportunity to stroll, sample, sip, socialize, and savor.   Don’t miss this chance to experience culinary delights from more than two dozen of the area’s finest eateries, plus savor over 140 select wines, plus select spirits and craft beer  – within this unique  “casually elegant” open-air setting amongst fellow revelers. And what a feast it will be! This year’s line-up of all-star eateries includes: Bazille, Bonefish Grill, Burton’s Grille & Bar, Café Med, Fries to Caviar, GourmetPhile, Howard’s Market,  J&D Cakes, Junior’sLa Ferme, Louie Bossi,  Maggiano’s Little Italy, Max’s Grille, M.E.A.T. Eatery & Taproom, Ouzo Bay, Pacari Chocolate, Publix Aprons Cooking School, Raw Juce, Season’s 52, Tanjore, Texas de Brazil, The Boca Raton Resort & Club, The Capital Grille, The Melting Pot, Tucker Duke’s Lunchbox, and more!

“All proceeds from the annual Boca Bacchanal benefit the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum and our mission to preserve, share and celebrate our local history” notes Executive Director Mary Csar. “We are thrilled to be celebrating our 165th year of this community event and we look forward to keeping the party going for many years to come!”

The big Bacchanalia takes place Saturday, April 7 from 7:00 – 11:00 pm at the Mizner Park Amphitheatre in Boca Raton.  Ticket prices are only $100, and are all-inclusive.
The Vintner Dinners are Friday, April 6. Tickets to the Vintner Dinners are $325 (while they last).
