Boca Raton has lifted the mandatory curfew as of September 14.

The City Council Workshop, CRA, Tentative Budget Meeting and City Council meetings from September 11 and 12 have all been rescheduled for September 25 and 26. Other meeting schedules will be posted once determined.

As power is brought back around the city, building openings have been announced. As of September 14, the following facilities are open:

  • Libraries
  • City Hall
  • Building Administration
  • Community Center (Downtown)
  • Sugar Sand Park – Playground & Community Center and Carousel, Racquet Center – Tennis only
  • Patch Reef Community Center, Tennis & playground, South Beach Pavilion (not South Beach)

As debris pick up resumes on September 15, regular garbage and recycling pickup has returned to its normal schedule. The city asks residents to please separate vegetative debris from bulk items, like wood fencing or building materials.

City water is safe to drink. Localized issues should be reported to the utilities department at 561-338-7339.

FPL is reporting that it hopes to have power restored to Palm Beach County customers by the end of the weekend, with some exceptions. Call 1-800-468-8243 to check on service and report outages.

City and Police Twitter and Facebook accounts are providing updated information, as is the city website. City events and meetings that have been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
