Local Business, Celsius Holdings Inc., Joins Nasdaq

CELHBy: Jack Rubin

Located in Boca Raton, Celsius Holdings Inc. has taken the global fitness community by storm. Most recently, the company began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market. Celsius’s CFO John Fiedly rung the Opening Bell on June 6 to celebrate the occasion.

Fiedly discussed on the accomplishment, “With the ringing of the opening bell, we will celebrate not only this major milestone in the evolution of our company, but also, importantly, the momentum we are creating in the growth and expansion of our business, the rebranding of our products and our position in the market as a global provider of health and fitness drinks.”

CELSIUS began producing their energy drinks in 2004. Their main line of energy drinks, CELSIUS, contains no preservatives, no aspartame, no high fructose corn syrup, is non-GMO, with no artificial flavors or colors, and is very low in sodium. This combination propelled the company to the top of the fitness energy drink world over the last few years.

According to their website, the drink, “accelerates metabolism, burns body fat, and provides healthy energy.” CELSIUS reinforces their goal of selling clean, healthy energy drinks with their slogan, “Invest in yourself, drink CELSIUS.”

In 2004, former GNC Chairman Greg Horn created the first CELSIUS drink. From 2007-2016, the drink won 16 international awards. The original CELSIUS drink is sold in seven different flavors.

Earlier this year, CELSIUS took home the InnoBev “Best Functional Drink” award at a gala in Frankfurt, Germany. CELSIUS continued its busy 2017 by launching the “Natural” drink line and the “CELSIUS HEAT” beverage. Ringing the Opening Bell is just another accomplishment in what has been a massive year for the company so far.

CELSIUS is sold throughout the country at Fitness Clubs, 7-Eleven stores, the Fresh Market, Publix, and other regional supermarkets. The company’s corporate offices are still located in Boca Raton, on Federal Highway just north of Glades Road. Celsius Holdings Inc. joined the Nasdaq market as CELH.
