Miami, Puerto Rico, and Hollywood are just three of the destinations FAU students Brandon Sirota (Class of 2017) and Eric Dunn (Class of 2016) will be visiting in their journey as lead actors in the new TV series “Ultra Sultra.”

Based in Miami Beach, Ultra Sultra focuses on the entertainment lifestyle and backstories that happen to a group of young adults who work and live around the trendy club that entertains until 6 a.m.

“The show is going to be about gorgeous people, the coolest DJ’s, the hottest, and most difficult club to get into,” said Ultra Sultra co-writer Olga Safari.

Having worked on shows such as MTV’s “Making The Band,” and “The Hills,” the team behind Ultra Sultra are no rookies when it comes to the TV Show industry. The show will feature some of the most recognized social media personalities, a complete list of celebrities will be announced later this month.

After talking and exchanging information, Safari was impressed and decided to give both Sirota and Dunn lead roles in the show that promises to be a hit.

Being social media celebrities themselves, both Sirota and Dunn have plenty of experience on camera. Dunn, for example, had 3.1 million followers on Vine and had over 464 posts on the app that has since been bought off by Twitter and discontinued.

“Consistently being on camera on Vine has made me comfortable in any on camera situation,” stated Dunn.

Sirota stated that FAU had prepared him to be a lead role in the show in many ways.

“Constantly networking and engaging with like-minded people at FAU, like Eric, has provided an immense amount of opportunities in this industry,” said Sirota.

Sirota also feels that his mentor and FAU professor Doug Wetzel has really helped him to get to where he is today.

“Doug Wetzel left an amazing impression on me and where I want to take my acting career,” said Sirota. “I couldn’t be more appreciative of how supportive and enlightening he was as a teacher and still is a friend.”

Locally, the series is set to be focused on online and social media audiences and is set to be primarily shown over the internet.

“The show is social media powered, and fans will see clips first on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, then, full episodes will land on a syndicated lineup of video on demand on cable stations in the USA like Comcast, Time Warner and AT&T, as well as on satellite and through online broadcasters like www.filmon.tv,” according to Sirota.

For 2018, Ultra Sultra has been picked to be aired in 22 different countries which validate it as a TV series that promises to be entertaining, luxurious, and sexy.
