Ariana Grande to Host Benefit Concert in Manchester

By: Michael Demyan

grandeAriana Grande will be returning to Manchester for a benefit concert to honor the victims and families of those affected by the deadly bombing which killed 22 people.

Following the attack on May 22, Grande suspended her “Dangerous Woman” tour stops through June 5 and flew to Boca Raton to be with family.

The benefit concert, which will be called “One Love Manchester,” will take place on June 4 at Emirates Old Trafford. Proceeds from the concert will be going toward a fund set up in collaboration between the city of Manchester and the British Red Cross.

“Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, to love more, to sing louder and to live more kindly and generously than we did before,” Grande said in a letter on Twitter. “I’ll be returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families.”

Artists and bands including Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry are expected to perform along with Grande.

Tickets will go on sale June 1 through Ticketmaster.
