Local Country Star, Maggie Baugh signed to Cold River Records
Cold River Records has signed Placer Creek Music Publishing writer, Maggie Baugh, to its artist roster. Cold River’s President, Pete O’Heeron, made the announcement during the label’s pre-CRS party at the Omni Hotel.
“Maggie is a firecracker in everything she does—her writing, her performing and her stage presence,” said O’Heeron, who discovered Baugh through a video performance on social media. “We have been cultivating her artistry for some time now and we are so excited to finally share her talents with the rest of the world.”
“This is a dream come true! From the first time I met Pete and the rest of the Cold River family it felt like we had known each other all of our lives,” said Maggie Baugh.
“They have such a strong belief in me and I am so excited to be officially part of the family.”
The Boca Raton native started playing violin at the age of six and started songwriting and performing live at 12. She recently released her new album, Catch Me, collaborating with Nashville songwriters, including Bridgette Tatum (“She’s Country,”) Cathy Majeski (“How Was I To Know”) and Chad Carlson (Grammy-winning engineer on hits by Taylor Swift.) The 11-track album, produced by Ben Thompson and Chad Carlson, was funded by a Kickstarter campaign where the teenager raised close to $25k–over 250% of her goal.
The 16-year-old multi-instrumentalist (guitar and fiddle) and singer-songwriter has played fiddle onstage with Neal McCoy and Charlie Daniels Band and has opened for Neal McCoy, Craig Morgan, Phil Vassar, Sam Hunt, Cole Swindell, Mark Chesnutt, Drake White, Old Dominion, Claire Dunn and fellow label mate, Drew Baldridge.
Baugh is currently enrolled at Boca Raton High School and Cold River Records plans to lauch Baugh into the country world in 2018, after she completes her time in High School.
