Fourth Annual Signature Golf Classic Benefits Hospice
December 12, 2016 Hobe Sound, Fla. — Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation and Hospice by the Sea Foundation hosted the 4thAnnual Hospice Signature Golf Classic, Monday, Dec. 12, at Medalist Golf Club. Sixty-four local golf enthusiasts were paired with 23 PGA, Web.com and LPGA tour professionals to play the challenging, members-only course. The Signature Golf Classic raises funds to support the valuable end-of-life care programs and services that Hospice of Palm Beach County and Hospice by the Sea provide.
PGA stars Ryan Armour and Dominic Bozzelli along with LPGA golfers Jaye-Marie Green and Alison Walshe were among the notable players in attendance. Championship Tour players Bruce Fleisher and Dana Quigley were also spotted on the fairway.
“I would like to thank those who made this event so successful, including the sponsors, golfers, professionals and the exceptional staff at the Medalist,” said Greg Leach, President of Hospice of Palm Beach County and Hospice by the Sea Foundations, “I would especially like to thank Tournament Chairman and Medalist Golf Club member Tom Tracy. He has been instrumental in orchestrating this event for the past four years and we are grateful for his continued support.”
A cocktail reception and awards ceremony immediately followed the tournament. Round winners included: 1st Place Team— Jeff Welch, Mark Bryan, Jared Smith and Pro Will Wilcox; 2nd Place Team— Pete Falcone, Asher Raphael, Corey Schiller and Pro Seamus Power; and 3rdPlace Team— Cressman Bronson, Scott Wilson, Raj Krishnasamy and Pro Justin Peters. Guests then enjoyed a gourmet buffet dinner and fine desserts from the Medalist’s executive chef.
All funds raised through the tournament support Hospice of Palm Beach County and Hospice by the Sea in bringing compassionate care and reassurance into people’s lives in their times of greatest need. This year’s underwriters included Aflac, AMG, Bouchard Insurance, Coastal Wine & Spirits, ESPN 106.3, Ketel One Vodka, Knight Corporations, Medline Foundation, Nolet’s Silver Dry Gin, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, PNC and Toshiba Business Solutions.
