Bayside, a punk rock band from New York City is now starting their Holiday Acoustic Tour with Hawthorne Heights this coming week on December 16th. It’s a small tour in the Northeastern region of the United States going on only until the 23rd.

Bayside gained the majority of its fans in 2005 with their self-titled album Bayside. They played their first show in Florida back in 2001 in Atlantic Beach and their first South Florida show a few days later in West Palm Beach, Florida. Within the year had a total of 14 shows in Florida alone. Their top songs to this day Devotion and Desire and Don’t Call Me Peanut come from those two albums. They got a nice resurgence with their 2011 Killing Time album with the song Sick, Sick, Sick.

Vacancy was their last album released produced by Hopeless Records, although not hitting mainstream success fans tend to liked it. The lyrical quality is great, and it’s a little lighter then their older music but still fits in with all their stuff dealing with alcoholism and pain. Their record prompted in their late summer tour with The Menzingers and Sorority Noise.

The tour stated in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on August 11th, 2106 and went on till September 18th, 2016 ending in Nashville, Tennessee. They played Revolution Live, their fans being a particularly rowdy crowd due to their punk rock songs. Even with a smaller crowd a nice push pit was particularly strong at Revolution Live where listeners that enjoy this type crowd can get in the pit and the rest can go up a story or two.

Their lighting being on the low side allows the crowd to fully engage in the show and not fiddle with taking pictures, as they don’t come out too well anyway. Although visually this wasn’t amazing the atmosphere of the room really came through.
