Attention Seafood fans – this one’s for you!   The 4th annual SOUTH BEACH SEAFOOD WEEK is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever!  “With three times the food, three times the experience, and only 1/3rd the wait, get ready for the ultimate seafood extravaganza featuring luxury dining on the sands of South Beach!” notes event organizer Valerie Roy of CI Management.

The entire festival spans begin Wednesday with the Goya’s Cooking & Cocktails class, culminating with the highly anticipated South Beach Seafood Festival on Saturday. The spectacular main event feast hits the Beach (7th & Ocean Drive) on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 12:00 noon – 7:00 p.m., plus an exclusive VIP extension until 11:00.

Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to sample exquisite offerings from some of South Florida’s finest restaurants, including A Fish Called Avalon,  Café Avanti, CIBO, CJ’s Crab Shack, Drunken Dragon, the legendary Joe’s Stone Crabs, Midtown Oyster Bar, Naiyara, Naked Crab, Naked Taco, Papa’s Raw Bar, Poseidon, Red, the Steakhouse, The Avenue, Toro Toro, Trulucks, Whole Foods Market, and more!  So get ready for Stone Crabs, Stone Crabs, and more Stone Crabs —  along with over 60 exquisite seafood offerings such as Lobster Tempura skewers, Mahi  Mahi Sliders, Scallop BLTs, Oysters, Shrimp Tacos, Lobster Roll Waffle Cones (yum!), Crab Cakes, Grilled Octopus, Shrimp Parmesan, Surf n’ Turf (filet mignon & lobster!), and more.  But there’s a lot more than just great food here, with plenty of fun and festivities throughout the day. The SoBe Seafood Fest intentionally keeps admission price low, so guests can then pick & choose their favorite menu offerings, which the restaurants offer at special event prices of only $5-$8.  Or, for a truly memorable day, go for the VIP package. VIP tickets ($150) include exclusive access to the VIP Hospitality Village, where you can enjoy private samplings, and exclusive VIP bars, special VIP restroom facilities, plus food vouchers which you can use to ‘buy’ any of the restaurant offerings, special extended after-party hours till 11:00 pm, and more.

  • Thursday, October 20, 6-10 PM: An Evening at Joe’s Stone Crab:  An unforgettable 4-course private wine pairing dinner experience by Chef Andre Bienvenu and wine education from Jackson Family Winery’s Master Sommeliers, Thomas Price and Larry O’Brien.
  • Friday, October 21, 7-11 PM: CHEF SHOWDOWN: This is “ultimate battle of battles” showcases the best in Miami’s culinary scene at 9th & Ocean Drive in GOYA’s Culinary Pavilion. 12 chefs get paired head to head creating 6 of the ultimate seafood battles. The deciding factor are THE GUESTS as they visit each restaurant sampling station around the village and vote to decide the newest 6 CHAMPIONS of the CHEF SHOWDOWN. Reigning champions defending their titles are Chef Andre & Tyler Bienvenu of Joe’s Stone Crab in Battle Lobster, Peter Vauthy of Red, the Steakhouse in Battle Surf ‘N Turf, Chef Dustin Atoigue of Mondrian South Beach in Battle Shrimp, Chef Xavier Torres of Drunken Dragon in Battle Tuna, and Chef Bernie Matz of Bodega South Beach in Battle Taco.

South Beach Seafood Week benefits COMMUNITY INITIATIVES FOUNDATION and the annual EAT SMART program, fulfilling the perfect balance between youth nutrition and childhood development in Miami Beach.  The event happens rain or shine, and is open to the public, but must be 21+ to consume alcohol.
