Congregation B’nai Israel and Palm Beach County Food Bank Partnered at 23rd Annual Food Drive

Boca Raton, FL  Congregation B’nai Israel’s (CBI) Kantor Family Center for Justice, for the 23rd consecutive year, collected food items during the Jewish High Holidays and distributed the food to families who might go hungry otherwise.  CBI partnered with Palm Beach County Food Bank to collect food donations from members of the congregation during the High Holy Days.

The event collected over 7,000 pounds of food.

Members were given bags on Rosh Hashanah to fill and return on Yom Kippur.  On October 12th, hundreds of congregants returned their overflowing bags to a truck stationed in CBI’s back parking lot. The food will be distributed by Jacobson Family Food Pantry of Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services, C.R.O.S. Ministries, Boca Helping Hands and more.
