Boca Raton firefighters rescue raccoons in bed of truck

While checking out their truck this morning firefighters at one of our stations discovered several stowaways that had taken refuge in the hose bed of the fire truck. A mother raccoon and her 2 babies peeked out at firefighters while they were conducting their morning equipment check.

Boca Raton firefighters removed one of the babies and placed it by nearby bushes, shortly after that the mother raccoon climbed down and went to her baby. Firefighters then removed the second baby and placed it by the bushes. The reunited family has moved on to find a more suitable home.
