Beauty and The Beast

The childhood classic of Beauty and The Beast will be retold through music and dance at the Au Rene Theater located  in the Broward Center for Performing Arts. Over 35 million people have attended previous showings of this Broadway production in the past. From the timeless characters to the amazing wardrobe and set designs, guests will fall in love with a tale as old as time and shamelessly sing along to musical numbers such as “Be Our Guest.” Tickets are available on ticketmaster.com ranging from $35 to $75.

Summer in the City- Billy Joel Tribute Concert
Mizner Park, 327 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL
7:30 PM

Billy Joel tribute band, Turnstiles, will be serving up old time classics at Mizner Park Amphitheater. Attendees can also stop by the Beer Garden starting at 6:30 to sample craft beers, learn how to craft their very own beers, participate in games, and be introduced to Hollywood Brewery experts.   Admission is free.

For those looking to keep up with their New Year’s resolution or begin a summer health kick,  free fitness classes are offered every Saturday in Sanborn Square. Yoga and Capoeira, a type of brazilian martial arts for ages 12 and up, are available for anyone to attempt. The morning kicks off with Yoga at 9:00. Zumba is down at the South Beach Pavilion at 10:30 A.M. Capoeira is at 10:30 A.M in Sanborn Square.

Food Truck Safari

The Palm Beach Zoo is hosting a Food Truck Safari this weekend featuring live music from the Shin Dig Duo and Andre Michaud. The zoo will be decked out with the best food trucks in South Florida. Some of which include Melted Madness, Eats & Sweets, Loxahatchee Ice Cream Company, and Hurricane  Alley Chowder Truck N Snack Shack. Up close and personal animal encounters are offered as well. The zoo begins to let people enter at 4:30 and truck windows open at 5:30. Admission for the zoo is $10 for adult non-members, and $9 for adult members. However, the food and beverages are not included in the admission. For child non-members it’s $6, $7 for child members, and children under 3 enter free. Other attractions include Wildlife Carousel Safari and Train rides which are available until sunset for $3. Advanced tickets can be purchase at www.palmbeachzoo.org.

The country singer is touring his eighth and latest studio record, RipCORD this summer. His first tour since 2014.The event will also feature Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris as special guests. Mizner Park Downtown Drive Car Show
Mizner Park, 327 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL
11:00 AM- 4:00 PM

The Mizner Park Downtown Drive Car Show is back in town right in time for Father’s Day. The event will take place from 11 AM to 5 PM. It will feature over 100 cars, from antiques dating back to the 1900s to the latest sports cars. This car show is sure to please car fanatics and inspire a love of cars amongst the new generation as well. Admission for the event is free and any donations will go towards the Make a Wish foundation in Southern Florida.

Summer In the City Series- FAU Summer Concert Band
Mizner Park, 327 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL
7:00 PM

Families can head on over to the Mizner Park Amphitheater after the car show to enjoy music performed by FAU’s Summer Concert Band beginning at 7:00 PM. Blankets and chairs are allowed. There is also an option to rent chairs for $5. Since food will be available at the event, outside snacks or beverages are not permitted. Pets are also not allowed. Admission is free.
