Rotary Club of Boca Raton West has a new Board

This was realized on the 23rd of June, at Pavilion Grille in Boca Raton, the installation of the new Board for the Rotary Club of Boca Raton West for the 2016-2017 Rotary Year.

Gustavo Couto took office as the President of the Club along with his Board, composed of Vera Schafer as Secretary, Sergio Lucena as Treasurer, Douglas Heizer as Sergeant of Arms, Angelica Blakely as Rotary Foundation Chair, Dario Israel and Katina Pagano as General Directors.

Gustavo Couto is the Executive Vice President of Five Rings Financial, a financial consulting company in the area of accumulation and protection of wealth. Gustavo, who already has an active participation in the Brazilian community in the area of financial education, considers his current position as one more opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.

“I learned about Rotary during my teenage years and this organization caused a strong and lasting impact on me”, said Gustavo. “It is a great honor to be able to serve our local community and the rest of the world as President of this club. It also is a great responsibility, especially to have to succeed the Presidency of Dini Heizer who so realized the face of our club”, concluded Gustavo.

The theme of Rotary for the 2016-2017 year is “Rotary Serving Humanity” and all the members of the club demonstrate a great enthusiasm for the year that is beginning. The Rotary Club of Boca Raton West meets every Thursday at 7:30pm at Resturant Brazil and visitors are always welcomed!
