Teens Responsible for Multiple Carjackings Arrested

Three teenagers who stole a woman’s car in Boca Raton were apprehended last week.

Dontrail Lanard Spruill, 20, Christian Monquel Jerry, 21, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested by deputies with PBSO on Sunday, May 1.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. the same day the three suspects were arrested, near the intersection of Boca West Drive and Jog Road. The victim was driving south on Jog Road in her 2015 BMW, and upon passing Boca West Road, was rear-ended by a vehicle with Spruill, Jerry, and the juvenile inside.

The woman exited her car, along with two of the suspects. But instead of exchanging insurance information, the suspects ran for the victim’s BMW, jumped inside, and drove away. The third suspect remained in the car, and as soon as the other two drove away in the BMW, he followed them in the car used to rear-end the victim.

Not long after the incident occurred, deputies from PBSO received a trace from the BMW’s LoJack system, where they located the stolen car and the suspects up in Delray Beach.

Upon booking and fingerprinting Spruill, Jerry, and the juvenile, deputies found out that this wasn’t their first carjacking.

The results from the fingerprints taken by deputies from the three suspects matched those found in an Infiniti that was stolen in the same manner in Boynton Beach on April 18 and was later found abandoned in Lake Worth.

All three suspects have been charged with carjacking, and Spruill and Jerry have been booked in the Palm Beach County Jail while the 17-year-old has been taken into the juvenile system.
