  • As the real estate market in Miami has stumbled, of late, Boca Raton continues to attract buyers as the redevelopment of its downtown continues. Miami’s loss appears to be Boca Raton’s gain, as retirees and families increasingly find better value and a quieter lifestyle in Boca Raton. Boca Raton is also less dependent on foreign buyers.
  • Ultimate Soccer held their first event this past week with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers to kick-off a partnership in which Striker gear and tickets will be sold at the Boca Raton store. On Tuesday, April 19 Striker players and staff came to Boca Raton to solidify the partnership.
  • Boca Raton Football Club, the city’s only amateur adult soccer team, will play its first match of the prestigious Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on May 11 as they take on Miami Fusion. Founded in 1914, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is the oldest soccer tournament in the United States, and its the only tournament in which amateur teams can play versus Major League Soccer clubs.
