CEO And Owner Of Boca Raton-Based Accounting Firm Nominated For Giraffe Award

Roxana Scaffidi, the CEO of FL-Accounting & Advising, has been nominated for the 2016 Giraffe Awards by Palm Beach County’s Women’s Chamber of Commerce.o

 

Originally from Peru, Scaffidi came to the United States in 1995 after graduating from San Ignacio de Loyola University, where she received a degree in Business Administration. After working in accounting for 23 years, Scaffidi decided to open her own firm, and in 2013, she founded FL-Accounting & Advising in Boca Raton.

 

In addition to being the CEO and owner of her own accounting firm, Scaffidi is an ambassador of the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Finance Committee for the Florence Fuller Child Development Centers and the National Association of Professional Women, and an adjunct professor at Palm Beach State College.

 

Since 1995, the Chamber annually awards women who “stick their necks out” in the community by showing perseverance, dedication, and no fear of taking risks. The award is divided into three categories; government, business, and academia/non-profit.

 

Scaffidi is one of nine finalists selected by the Chamber, and the winner will be announced at a ceremony that will be held Wednesday, March 30, at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.
